You love spreadsheets and have a positive, client service-oriented attitude. You’re an extremely organized, detail-oriented self-starter. Proactive and assertive, yet flexible and adaptable, you have strong budget management and excel spreadsheet skills with an uncanny ability to juggle various budgets at the same time. You’ll be responsible for accurately tracking hours against budgets, assisting with estimating and preparing client statements of work (SOW), and monitoring project costs. Previous marketing/agency experience preferred. It’s assumed that you will be computer and internet-savvy. You are a committed freelancer and will, for the most part, work remotely at your own location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up, maintain, and monitor budgets
  • Prepare project estimates and SOWs
  • Track project hours and preparing budget updates for clients
  • Review project estimated costs vs. actual budget reviews on a monthly basis
  • Prepare update emails and communications
  • Provide administrative aid for various projects
  • Facilitate monthly billing and all budget requests from clients
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Ensure that revenue is billed in accordance to the contract and scope of work


Required Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in business, administration, marketing, accounting-related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent budget management and excel spreadsheet skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple budgets with ease
  • Assertive self-starter who works well under limited supervision
  • Flexible, reliable and self-motivated
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently
  • Technically savvy with computer, internet, research, Microsoft Office, and smart phone/tablet skills
